This Is the only song on the CD that I composed. It is intended as an exploration of harmonic possibility within the framework of the Blues. Each Chorus adds more and more detail and complexity to the structure while maintaining the framework of a Blues in Bb. I thought of this like a Jazz improvisational etude and the challenge was to create a compelling melodic line through the increasingly complex harmonies and still sound like a Blues at Heart. I also decided halfway through working this out, that I would add drums, no Bass, to create a structure around rhythm and harmony. It is unusual and definitely unexpected things happen!

Karl Latham joins me in the unexpected dance, playing drums.
