This was a song Ted and I discussed and worked on many times. I had seen the film Carousel when I was young and absolutely loved the music. In fact I remember doing a grade school version where I played the bad guy. I also think that because I had grown up in somewhat rough circumstances that the song lyrics and sentiment really resonated for me. Now with all of the challenges happening in the world I believe a message about hope and perseverance is needed now more than ever.
